Nothing is better to compare ones progress than the creation of a self portrait. Since the year of 2025 is still fresh, I decided that it was the perfect time to take a week out of April to take on this small project. I used photogrammetry to create a 3D scan my own head, put the raw data together via Reality Capture and used it as a reference in zBrush. The textures were created with Substance 3D Painter and then supported by photos that I pulled out of the photogrammetry pictures, but also texturing.xyz alphas. I used a texturing.xyz iris texture and 'hand painted' the sclera in Substance as well. Hair was created with curves. Rendered in cycles.
